We are proud to congratulate Samar McGregor, Deputy Director of PHFE WIC, a program of Heluna Health, on being named the Chair-Elect of the National WIC Association (NWA) Board of Directors.
In her own words, McGregor is a “WIC-lifer”, and it’s a badge she wears with pride. With more than 35 years of experience in the WIC program, she has dedicated her career to advancing the health and nutrition of pregnant and post-partum women, infants, and young children across the country. For the past four years, McGregor has served as Secretary of the NWA Board of Directors, and she has been recognized as a leader both in California and nationally.
“It is a great honor to have been chosen by my peers to be Chair-Elect of the National WIC Association Board of Directors,” said McGregor. “The National WIC Association has been pivotal in helping and advocating to move the WIC Program forward in all directions. I am optimistic about the future and growth of the organization and the program with so many exciting opportunities, expanding partnerships, and so much more.”
As the largest local WIC agency in the country, PHFE WIC is already shaping what best-in-class WIC programming looks like. With McGregor now leading at the national level, that influence will only grow.
